Mark's Writings

It is my desire to try and capture with written words the overflowing river of God's heart and revelation that I experience and receive as I walk with God along the journey of my life.  And life is just that...a journey.  The experiences that come reflect various times and seasons in a larger story of God's Kingdom, yet remain significant in and of themselves.  It remains my hope that as you reflect and consider these thoughts and expressions, your own heart will be strengthened, encouraged, and stirred to passionate pursuit of the One who made you, loves you, and is excited about your journey together with Him.

The following are brief explanations of the "kinds" of writing I will be providing and making avaiable on this site, and their specific purposes:

Musings
In these, I will be sharing reflective and "in process" thoughts or discoveries I am currently experiencing or pursuing.  They will not represent end points in my thinking, rather articulate some of the journey I am on.  I welcome dialog about them for the purpose of stretching each of us in fresh new ways, as well as offering God the oppotunity to rewrite our own understanding of His heart and ways in our midst. 

Encouragements
Many of these expressions will come from the monthly words of encouragement that I distribute for those who have subscribed to recieve them.  They represent general words of encouragement, flowing from specific revelation I have received over God's heart towards us as His people, and/or further understandings about our own lives and their roles in God's Kingdom.  My desire is to continually kindle a blazing fire of deep hope, steadfast courage, and a perservering vision as we each traverse our own paths, but share in the unifying love of being a part of Jesus' family.

Crafted Blessings
As I am coming to understand, a "blessing" from God's perspective is more than just kind words expressing a sentiment.  Rather, it is a very powerful spiritual influence that literally helps to change the spiritual atmosphere and leads towards the enhancement in both the quality and quantity of life.  As such, these expressions are purpuseful, specific, and targeted, and can be crafted with a delineated result in mind.  Every blessing provided in God's Word, the Bible, each yielded a tangible shift in the reciever.  In these writings, I will be crafting blessings designed to address particular issues and/or situations.  My hope is these will not just be used as guides for prayer and declarations, but also will stir your own creativity as you seek to bless and be a blessing to this world. 

Prophetic Words
At times, I sense that the Lord is sharing with me some very specific details about our current season and His heart in the midst of it.  As such, I believe it is my responsibility and priviledge to provide these expressions to the larger body of Christ for their own evaluation and seeking with the Father.  I fully expect and encourage you to ask the Holy Spirit about them, and seek for additional confirmation as to their content, accuracy and timeliness.  As we accept their legitimacy, it then becomes our responsibility to personally apply them in our lives, for the fullness of God's heart to be released both in our lives and in those around us.  At best, these expressions will only reflect a piece of God's heart for the hour.  Still, I desire to do my part in offering what I believe God is saying to us for the days ahead.
